Scream

Wes Craven really hit the mark with this one. A spoof on the very films he makes his living off of was a stroke of genius from him and with tight writing and fine acting SCREAM delivers both the laughs and, no pun intended, the screams. Drew Barrymore opens the mayhem and has a wonderful death scene here. Courtney Cox, Rose McGowan, Neve Campbell, Skeet Ulrich, Matthew Lillard.....it's just a smorgasborg of young Hollywoodians to get slashed up. Craven himslef does a cameo as does Linda Blair and Henry Winkler. Amazingly enough, Craven uses more splat here than he had in years! SCREAM is not to be taken lightly, it's a smart and interesting piece of nastiness.
